Blue Ming Chinese Dancers of San Diego is a group of Chinese-American women who share a passion for Chinese folk dance. Our goals are to stay fit, meet new friends, and have fun while promoting the art of Chinese dance.

With a mission to promote Chinese dance among peoples of different cultures, Blue Ming Chinese Dancers is dedicated to showcasing a variety of traditional and ethnic Chinese dances. We have been invited to perform in various community cultural programs, trade conferences, and charitable fund raising events. The San Diego Opera, US Marine Corps, and Promise2Kids are a few most recent audiences. Our performances are also a nice addition to a private party, helping to create a unique and memorable experience.
Blue Ming Chinese Dancers values the opportunity to perform for audiences of different cultural backgrounds. Since our inception, we has been actively involved in San Diego area community programs for various good causes. We have been invited to dance at cultural events, street festivals, corporate programs, and charitable fund raisers. Mostly recently, we performed at the San Diego Opera Season Grand Opening Ceremony.

Blue Ming Chinese Dancers believes in a high standard of showmanship. We are eager to adapt our choreography to fit your occasion. Our ability and willingness to remain original while going that extra mile have won us an enviable reputation from both audiences and presenters.

“There are three layers to the universe. In the lower, Tai Ching, and the middle, Shan Ching, the hindrance of a physical bodily existence is required. Those who fail to live consistently in accord with the Tao reside here. In the upper, Yu Ching, there is only Tao: the bondage of form is broken, and the only thing existing is the exquisite energy dance of the immortal divine beings.” --- Lao Tzu (c. 604 - 531 B.C.)
"The truest expression of a people is in its dance and in its music. Bodies never lie." --- Agnes de Mille
